Every Retreat is Unique...

but they all have a little bit in common. If you are a girlie (or themie) that likes to know as much as possible before going into any situation, this page is for you.

Each retreat takes us to a new and beautiful home, or castle, or collection of fantasy themed cottages. What stays consistent are the comfortable beds, beautiful surroundings, and quick access to amazing shoot locations. (There’s usually a healthy dose of whimsy as well.) We cannot guarantee private rooms but you will always have a comfortable and cosy place to rest.

The main event of our retreats is the photography of course. But this is not a content creation weekend, (unless you’re into that, no judgement) this is a weekend for creative play. Our shoots are an opportunity to wear a costume you’ll never get to wear, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and revel in the fantasy for a little while. Plus, you get some stunning images at the end.

Workshops

Fantasies_Fables-47.jpg
IMG_4249.HEIC

Between shoots and meals we manage to find time for a couple of creative workshops. Depending on the retreat we may be making watercolor fantasy maps, or henins (those pointy princess hats,) or homemade journals. No skill, talent, or confidence necessary, we’re just here for the vibes.

This is the intangible part of our retreats, something that you kinda have to experience to understand. We’ve built a community of (lets be honest) mostly neurodivergent, queer, weirdo, nerds. With these weekends we’ve built a space where you’re never the strangest person in the room, someone definitely has a more obscure hobby than you, and you don’t need to explain what property that quote was from. The vast majority of our guests arrive alone and leave with lasting friendships.
